David Parent, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, prides himself on being a “human capitalist” – one who understands a broad array of people issues and organizational dynamics and is able to configure integrated solutions to help clients improve their investment in their people.

While leveraging the latest thinking and leading practices, David is known by his clients for bringing practical solutions to meet their most pressing needs. David has helped numerous organizations assess their current approaches to talent management and HR operations, then design and implement multi-faceted solutions to meet business objectives. David has assisted more than a dozen market-leading organizations to redesign key aspects of their HR model, including organizational, process, service delivery and people dimensions. David has helped clients transform their HR organizations in the context of a variety of technology platforms. With differing client situations, David has assisted clients in both outsourcing and in-sourcing HR business processes. David has also facilitated clients through change management objectives on some of the largest mergers and technology projects across the country.

David has presented at a variety of venues, addressing wide-ranging topics such as becoming an employer of choice and how to develop the next generation of talent, as well as how to support such talent objectives through transforming HR functions via technology and shared services. David also teaches a class on the topic of change management each year at the University of Michigan.

In addition to his work with clients, David is the Managing Director of the Michigan Practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP. David also holds several internal leadership roles focused on recruiting and developing the high-performing talent within Deloitte Consulting.
