Meet Larry Calabro
Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP
Larry Calabro is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP in the Technology practice and the Application Management Services Leader for the Americas. With18 years helping clients in their efforts to get more business value from their technology investments, he has emerged as one of our go-to leaders for technology integration and innovation.
Said another way, Larry is our start-up guy. “I help clients follow the money,” he says. “That’s where the value opportunities are.”
Today Larry is focused on helping our clients in their efforts to achieve value opportunities in applications management services. He leads our AMS business in the Americas, building on his strong experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Business Process Engineering and Large Scale Technology Strategy and Integration.
“My work is about decomposing processes – breaking things down – into basic components in order to help our clients identify where the value opportunities are. That’s what I did in our Services Thinking™ framework, and that’s what I’m doing with AMS.”
“I see the world through client eyes. In this case, I don’t believe they’re getting enough value from AMS, so we’ve changed the game. We’re driving a new wave of industrialization – lean IT, process reengineering, analytics and performance management – into the AMS market. I see it as a new front for helping them enhance their return on investments in technology.”
Larry’s primary industry focus has historically been financial services, but that’s changing. As companies look increasingly for innovations outside their own sectors, he and his teams are tracking what works across industries and functions. That means borrowing the best ideas wherever they are, and applying them across sectors to help our clients drive quick improvements.
