Kent serves as the Deloitte Health Informatics LLC (DHI) Enterprise Data Architect and as a Deloitte Consulting LLP Specialist Leader charged with marrying information, technology and knowledge spanning the seven major clinical settings. His role also includes responsibility as a Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing knowledge leader and is backed by a documented 18 year track record of success. His experience in shaping policy, guiding intelligence initiatives and directing informatics efforts critical to actionable enterprise wide outcomes serves to match an organization’s business needs to improvement, compliance and centralized knowledge initiatives that are designed to deliver metric based decisions and organizational ROI.
Kent has served as an active advisory member to the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) on LRI/LOI standards and also as an advisory member to the MyHealth HIE Beacon. He brings to the table the ability to highly motivate a culture of application and Intellectual Property development as he was the principal architect and founding innovator of the first enterprise wide clinical data warehouse in the country as well as the author of the first industry Clinical Enterprise Master Patient Index (CEMPI) to have a documented +99% population matching accuracy, as well as the only one nationally with six 9’s uptime since 1998. He was also the founding architect of CERNER’s PowerInsight and is the principal participant of five provisional, design and process patents: Hierarchical and Multi-Dimensional Groupings; Predictive and Inference Methodology; Outcomes Overview; Cost-Accounting Foundations; Attribute Cost Allocations–Job Costing; Data representation without use of data. Kent has consulted for private and public sector led warehousing initiatives in the areas of oncology and metric modeling and has developed adaptable application suites using click once technology controlling EMPI, Medical History, Cardiac Analyzers, Distribution, Workflow, Workforce, Productivity, Financial and Lab DSS functionality.
