Meet Kenneth Cahill

A principal with Deloitte Consulting, Kenneth Cahill is responsible for Deloitte’s global health business being implemented in emerging markets on behalf of international donor institutions. Within his over 30 years of experience in the field of health and social protection, 18 years has been dedicated to providing consulting expertise in developing countries.
Kenneth specifically focuses on health care reform and health systems strengthening within developing and transitioning countries. His specialized technical areas include health care policy and regulation, financing, and organizational development in support of building sustainable health care systems. He has worked in and managed projects in over 20 emerging market countries. Recent projects under his supervision include designing and increasing the impact of social health insurance schemes in India; improving the medical supply chain in Kenya by promoting an improved regulatory environment as well as local organizational capacity; building capacity of local organizations to deliver high quality HIV/AIDS services in Nigeria; and strengthening the health financing capacity of the Ministry of Health in Afghanistan. He has also been active in piloting programs to introduce innovative approaches, including mobile health, to improve the sustainability of donor health initiatives.
Prior to his work in the private sector consulting, Kenneth spent 15 years with the Congressional Research Service in management and technical roles.
