Consistently maintaining a focus on customer retention and sustained growth, even in turbulent times, is the cornerstone of successful insurance companies. Rick Berry has dedicated more than 20 years to providing consulting services to financial services and insurance carriers related to the fine art of designing and executing customer retention, growth, and distribution strategies.
Rick Berry supports clients’ with their efforts to evaluate new products, channels and markets; as well as to assess and retool their existing agency distribution systems. As part of this work, Rick provides advice on sales and performance management including role clarification, organization design, performance evaluation and measurement, and compensation program design.
In addition to his work with clients, Rick has market eminence as a thought leader in distribution. He has written nearly 40 articles for industry publications such as Best’s Review (including a regular column) and National Underwriter. He has been quoted in the business press and has been a frequent speaker before the ACLI, LIMRA, the SOA and other business audiences. Presentations have included: Distribution Strategies: Successfully Partnering with the Elephant; The Future of Agency Distribution; and Distribution Economics and the Critical Role of Financial Discipline.
Rick holds a Bachelor’s of Art degree in History from Princeton University and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University.
