Meet Bob Dalton

Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Bob Dalton, a 27-year veteran of Deloitte – including seventeen years as a Principal, has a breadth of experience in both client service and Deloitte U.S. Firms leadership positions.  

Bob leads Deloitte’s global relationship with the IBM Corporation, including being both the global LCSP (Lead Client Service Principal) and global alliance leader.  This relationship ecosystem involves several elements:

  • Deloitte’s client relationship with IBM, which is part of Deloitte’s tier 1 client portfolio called “Office of the CEO” (OCEO).  Deloitte serves IBM as a client in over 40 countries around the world through a network of member firms and delivers services including: enterprise software licensing, international financial reporting standards (IFRS), global mobility and international assignment services, M&A due diligence and divestiture, tax, valuation, litigation support, and other controls compliance services.
  • Deloitte’s alliance relationship with IBM, including Deloitte’s teaming with IBM hardware and software technology groups, as well as IBM Global Services on a selective basis.  The alliance enables our practitioners to better sell and provide value to clients, leveraging IBM’s leading technologies.  And, Deloitte has built a significant number of solutions, enabled by IBM software and hardware.

Bob is part of the Deloitte Analytics IMO (Integrated Market Offering), participating on both the U.S. and global leadership teams.  He is currently leading our Analytics Alliances as part of this program.

For approximately four years, Bob co-led “The Value Initiative” (TVI).  TVI is a global program intended to help drive more value for Deloitte’s clients.  The program provided various tools to Deloitte practitioners, such as the Enterprise Value Map, of which there are over 100,000 copies in distribution with Deloitte’s clients.  

Bob also previously led Deloitte Consulting LLP’s “Process Competency” on a global basis, which included a variety of service lines such as:  Reengineering, M&A, BPR for Enterprise Applications, Shared Services, Program Leadership, and Supply Chain Management.  For several years, Bob personally led the Reengineering service line, which included deployment of this capability globally.

Bob has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from the Keenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
