Meet Michael Hercz

Director, Deloitte & Touche LLP

Michael Hercz, a director in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Governance, Regulatory and Risk Strategies practice, has more than 15 years of experience in compliance and risk management.  He focuses on addressing complex regulatory and compliance challenges facing organizations in the continually evolving life sciences and health care industry.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Michael served in various leading roles for major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. In these capacities, he designed and implemented both first and second generation corporate compliance programs. Additionally, he established and led the enterprise risk management function of a major biopharma company. Prior to working in the industry, he advised a wide range of life sciences and health care clients as an attorney at a global law firm.

Michael frequently presents at leading conferences on topics ranging from creating effective compliance programs to government enforcement trends. Michael will serve as featured faculty at the 13th Annual PCF Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Compliance Congress and recently served as distinguished speaker for the Center for Business Intelligence (CBI’s) 2011 and 2012 Forums on the Sunshine Act, State Laws and Aggregate Spend.

A resident of San Clemente, California, Michael holds a juris doctor from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
