Owen Ryan serves as the leader of Deloitte & Touche LLP's risk advisory practice. He also serves as the Global Lead Relationship Partner for a leading insurance company. Owen has over 23 years of professional services experience that includes eights years focused on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and significant cross-border experience during a two-year secondment to the Deloitte office in Paris. In addition, his international experience includes more than 25 countries, primarily throughout Europe and Asia.
Owen has advised numerous financial services clients on more than 300 proposed life events, including M&A strategy, target selection, transaction execution, capital raising and post-merger integration activities.
Owen's prior leadership roles include the Regulatory & Capital Markets Consulting practices within audit & enterprise risk services, industry leader for both the Global and U.S. Insurance practice, global leader of Actuarial Services, and Financial Services leader for M&A.
He holds a master's degree in business administration from Columbia University Business School and a bachelor of science degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from New Jersey City University.
