Meet Susan Levey

Director, Deloitte & Touche LLP

Susan Levey is a director in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Governance, Risk & Regulatory Strategies practice and has 20 years of experience in the securities industry and litigation support. She primarily focuses on helping broker dealers operate effectively and efficiently within the applicable regulation given their business model. In addition, Susan assists firms with designing processes as new or changing regulation affects their business models.

Susan has helped clients respond to regulatory sweeps, assisting and being named as Independent Consultants by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) (formerly known as National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD)) pre- and post-enforcement actions, and leading self-assessments and process redesign engagements for large global financial institutions. She has also led several litigation support engagements focused upon recreating the books and records of securities and commodities firms. Records included customer and firm records and resulted in the processing of claims.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Susan was the data management specialist at a major law firm in Chicago and was responsible for the creation of their automated litigation support department. She holds an undergraduate degree from University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University
