John Corston joined Deloitte as a Director within the Governance, Regulatory and Risk Strategies practice in January 2012. Prior to joining Deloitte, John served as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Associate Director within the Office of Complex Financial Institutions where he was responsible for bank holding companies and insured institutions with total assets greater than $100 billion. John also was a member of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) Steering Committee and served as the FDIC representative on the Institutions Subcommittee.
John is a Massachusetts licensed CPA with more than 24 years of experience involving supervision and regulation covering regional and community banking organizations prior to his more recent responsibilities for the larger most complex financial institutions. John’s experiences in this role included risk management, compliance and governance related supervision along with a more recent focus on Dodd Frank Title I and Title II where he covered stress testing, funding and liquidity and mortgage servicing.
