Meet Jonathan Prejean
Director, Deloitte & Touche LLP
Jonathan Prejean currently serves as a director in Deloitte’s Financial Accounting, Valuation & Securitization (FAV&S) practice.
Jonathan provides advisory, accounting consultation, and audit support services relating to our clients’ capital markets transacting activities and related accounting, risk management and process/control issues. He has deep technical experience in accounting for complex equity and debt transaction, derivatives, loans, securitization, mortgage servicing rights, structured finance, and consolidation.
Jonathan has more than15 years of experience including 10 years in public accounting, serving a variety of client types, primarily those in the financial services industry. In addition to public accounting, he participated in an accounting fellowship within the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Financial Stability, which oversees the Trouble Asset Relief Program (TARP).
Jonathan currently supports the audit of a major mortgage banking enterprise client as the accounting policy team lead. He is responsible for reviewing the company’s accounting policies and assisting the audit team by providing recommendations for proper application and disclosure. He also provides services to other companies within the financial services industry.
In addition to the aforementioned role, Jonathan has assisted clients in reviewing proposed capital transactions (e.g. preferred stock, convertible debt issuance) as well as preparing and reviewing regulatory filings.
