Meet Gregory G. Weaver

Bio

Gregory G. Weaver is chairman and chief executive officer of Deloitte & Touche LLP (Deloitte & Touche), the U.S. accounting, auditing and risk advisory subsidiary of Deloitte LLP.

With more than 38 years of experience at Deloitte, including 27 years as a partner, Greg has held a variety of senior leadership roles within Deloitte. Most recently, Weaver was a member of the board of directors of Deloitte LLP, serving on its Governance Committee and Partner Earning and Benefits Committee, and was the chairman of the Elected Leaders Committee. He is also a former member of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) Global Assurance Leadership team. Weaver previously served as the chairman and CEO of Deloitte & Touche from 2001 to 2005.

Throughout his career, Greg has served as the lead client service partner to some of Deloitte’s most prominent clients in the consumer products, manufacturing and financial services industries. He has experience in mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, and the attendant operational control reporting challenges.

Greg is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a board member of the National Council for Minorities in Engineering. He is also a former member of the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy’s Board at Baruch College and a former member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council. He is the author of Audit Committee Trends and Tools: A Time for Change, which was published in 2002.

Greg holds a bachelor of science in mathematics from Albright College and a master of business administration from Rutgers University. He resides in Far Hills, NJ with his wife. He is the proud father of four and one grandchild.
