Ted DeZabala is a leading practitioner for security & privacy solutions. He has over 25 years of consulting and advisory experience in helping clients design and implement secure, reliable technology infrastructures and business operations. He specializes in financial, operational and information technology risk management. He drives the development of Deloitte’s Center for Security & Privacy Solutions – a collaboration with members of the academic and vendor communities, industry luminaries and our experienced practitioners – to develop market leading solutions that address some of the most vexing management challenges facing leaders of today’s global institutions.
Ted has served some of Deloitte’s largest global clients, and has directed numerous client projects including the design and implementation of a worldwide information and technology risk management program for a global financial services institution. In addition, he has launched numerous solution offerings over the years including Deloitte’s Cyber Threat Intelligence offering which was a breakthrough for our clients in their efforts to combat the growing cyber crime wave.
Ted recently spearheaded, along with leaders from the other Big Four and the Financial Services Roundtable, the development of a Shared Assessments program in an effort to standardize how financial institutions judge the security of companies that provide online services. He is frequently quoted in the press like Wall Street Journal, CNBC, CNNfn, ABC World News This Morning, and National Public Radio on shifting priorities in operations and technology risk management.
Ted has authored a recent publication “Intensive risk, elusive value: A Risk Intelligent executive’s guide to security and privacy”, and contributed to the book “B2B and Beyond: New Business Models Built on Trust” by Harry B. DeMaio.
