Meet Tapan (Tap) Shah
Director, Cyber Risk Services
As a director in the Audit & Enterprise Risk Services (AERS) practice, Tap Shah leads the Application Management Services offering within Cyber Risk Services. In this role, Tap manages the delivery of security and risk strategy, assessment, implementation, integration, solution design and managed security services.
Tap has led numerous engagements, ranging from staff augmentation to full lifecycle support of managed services, primarily serving clients in the health care, life sciences and financial services industries. He also directed the Cyber Risk Services practice for Deloitte's U.S. India AERS offices. Before joining AERS, Tap was a co-founder and vice president at an identity management services provider, which was later acquired by Deloitte.
With more than 19 years of information security and risk management experience, Tap's knowledge and background covers IS027001/2, COBIT, ITIL, identity and access management (IAM) and application security domains. He has managed and designed an array of large risk and security transformational programs and overseen lifecycle management of numerous security systems.
Tap is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP), a certified Sun and Oracle identity IAM professional, a certified Entrust GetAccess professional and a certified WebMethods professional. He earned a master's degree in information technology at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Gujarat in India.
