Meet Khalid Wasti

Director, Deloitte & Touche LLP

As a director in the Audit and Enterprise Risk Services (AERS) group of Deloitte & Touche LLP, Khalid has more than 15 years of information technology (IT), audit and operations experience. Khalid leads the Digital Enterprise initiative for AERS’s Internal Audit Transformation market offering. This cross-industry and cross-functional team helps companies understand the significant risks resulting from the convergence of mobile, cloud, cyber, analytics and social media and provides clients with an integrated, Risk Intelligent approach to managing these five emerging technologies.

Khalid also manages fully outsourced and cosourced internal audit engagements, including IT, operational, financial, regulatory and compliance internal audits; business continuity reviews; quality assurance reviews; risk assessments; IT security reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley testing.

He is a certified public accountant in the State of New York, a certified internal auditor, a certified information systems auditor and a certified information technology professional. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

Khalid earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree in business administration from Baruch College.
