Heads Up: Dodd-Frank Turns One — A Recap of the Act’s First Year

In response to the provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, over the past year, the SEC has finalized a number of provisions, completed a number of studies and reports for Congress, and exposed various proposals for public comment. This Heads Up summarizes the current status of certain of the Act’s key provisions that affect a large cross-section of SEC registrants. These provisions include those on corporate governance, executive compensation, asset-backed securities, over-the-counter derivatives and swaps, and specialized disclosures.
