Meet Jane Kapral
Director, Deloitte & Touche LLP
Jane brings more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, academia, and industry. She served on the faculty of Boston University’s School of Management where she focused on governance, accounting information systems, financial accounting, and international accounting standards. In addition, she worked at the Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory where she helped implement a SOX-like internal controls system and process re-design, while also leading the general ledger/financial reporting team that replaced a 60-year old homegrown system with Oracle ERP.
Since returning to Deloitte in 2006, Jane has focused on the operational impact of changes in accounting standards and financial reporting requirements, including those that affect people, processes, governance, and systems. Jane works extensively with clients in the energy, manufacturing, and high-tech industries, supporting them in the operational changes required due to convergence.
Jane is a certified public accountant licensed in Massachusetts and Colorado. She graduated from Bentley University and earned her Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
