Global Reporting Initiative Certified Training Courses

G4 sustainability reporting guidelines

Decreasing resource availability along with increasing marketplace and regulatory demands and investor attention around how companies are managing risks related to their long-term viability represent a few of the trends demanding companies to increase the disclosure of non-financial information.

The guidelines set forth by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) offer the world’s leading framework for sustainability reporting. The GRI, a non-profit organization based in Amsterdam, developed sustainability reporting guidelines that are used to measure and report economic, environmental, social and governance performance. Thousands of organizations of different sizes and sectors use GRI’s guidelines in order to understand and communicate their sustainability performance.

In May 2013, GRI published the G4 Guidelines, the latest version of its framework.

Deloitte is a GRI Certified Training Partner, and we offer the Certified Training Program in the United States for organizations looking to initiate or improve their sustainability reporting programs. The program is beneficial both to those who are new to sustainability reporting as well as those who have already undertaken a reporting process.

The Certified Training Courses provided by Deloitte are led by our leading professionals experienced in sustainability reporting, including those directly involved in the creation of G4. The courses offer insights into the value of sustainability reporting, an assurer’s view on the data quality, and industry highlights based on experience we gain in the field. The courses zoom in on the reporting process and critical data inputs to help the attendees build an efficient reporting practice that captures key business value drivers to inform both the stakeholders and the management alike.

For those who are interested in obtaining an in-depth knowledge of the G4 guidelines and an official certificate from GRI, we currently offer a two-day GRI Certified Training Course that helps participants to understand and coordinate the GRI sustainability reporting process. It is based on the latest G4 Guidelines and features new content redesigned by GRI for its new Guidelines and training courses.

We are excited to offer you the standard content developed by GRI and additional focus on G4 covering technical details of G4 reporting developed by our experienced team.
