Timothy Hurley

Tim is a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience in financial and operational consulting. For the past 20 years, Tim has worked for Deloitte as a business advisor from both an audit and management consulting perspective. His primary focus is on bankruptcy and restructuring advisory services for diverse parties-in-interest, including unsecured creditor committees, secured creditors, and debtors.

Part of Tim's experience in restructuring and reorganization covers §363 sales of businesses, financial investigations, going concern evaluations, financial reviews, due diligence, and company-wide diagnostics.

• Financial advisor in the SIPC liquidation of a global financial services firm
  
• Financial advisor for a US state in a $1 billion telecom Chapter 11 case
  
• Turnaround advisor for a $200 million specialty retailer

In the Higher Education sector, Tim has led the following:

• Operational and financial turnarounds of liberal arts universities
• Developed “Net Tuition” business models through the facilitation of workshops with faculty and administrative personnel
• Experience include: cash flow forecasting, enrollment management, academic program prioritization, faculty load, section management, tuition discounting, sports program profitability
• Conducted strategic alliance searches and negotiations
• Negotiated restructuring of bonds and line of credit
• Interface with Board of Trustees, administration, and faculty
