Matthew G. Kimmel is a principal in the Advisory Services practice of  Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP (Deloitte FAS). Matt is also the national leader of the  Real Estate industry for Deloitte FAS and a senior member of the tangible asset advisory services team offering cost segregation, equipment valuation studies, construction and lease advisory services.

He brings over 25 years of valuation consulting experience to his clients and is well versed in a variety of valuation issues concerning both national and international markets. He has significant experience in various types of institutional, commercial and industrial real and personal property covering most industries. Specifically, Matt has noteworthy experience with retail real estate, including regional malls, outlet malls, neighborhood centers, power centers automotive dealerships, and other retail-oriented real estate.

Matt has managed and coordinated numerous and large multidisciplinary valuation engagements in connection with mergers, acquisitions, litigation and disputes, bankruptcy, reorganization, corporate financial and tax planning, as well as other purposes.

Matt's professional affiliations include membership in the Appraisal Institute, election to the Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, being a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers in both technical valuation and urban real property disciplines, being invited to membership in The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), being a licensed Realtor in Indiana and a certified general appraiser in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Tennessee and Washington, and membership in the National Engineering Honor Society.

Matt holds a bachelor of science degree in construction engineering from Purdue University and also studied accounting and economics at the graduate level at Loyola University.
