Meet Charles Alsdorf
Director, Capital Efficiency, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP*
Charles Alsdorf is a director with Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP (DTBA) where he serves as the national leader of the Capital Efficiency team.
Charles has more than 20 years of experience in valuation, strategy, decision analysis and corporate finance, including applying multi-attribute decision analysis to complex portfolio investment challenges in the commercial, government and non-profit sectors. In his current role, he works with companies to apply decision analysis and real options analysis to major capital projects and transactions, and provides portfolio valuation services for the alternative investment industry, including hedge funds and private equity funds and their portfolio investments across a broad array of security types and industry sectors. He is a service offering leader in Deloitte’s Enterprise Sustainability program, and is a participant in Deloitte’s Eminence Fellowship program.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Charles served as vice president of technology strategy for an internationally-known bond rating agency with global responsibility for setting strategy on technology, quantitative analytics, and data operations. He has also previously served as director of valuation for a global professional services organization.
Charles holds a BA in Cooperative Management with a Sino-Soviet Studies minor from Brown University, and an MBA from the Yale University School of Management with a major in strategy and finance. He also completed an Edgar M. Bronfman Graduate Fellowship at the Moscow Economic Academy in Russia.
