Alan Richard is a director at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP (Deloitte FAS). He is based in Washington DC, although his practice is national and international in character.
Prior to his position at Deloitte, Alan was a Principal in the Forensic practice at another professional services firm where he was the national director of Construction Advisory Services. Before becoming a consultant, Alan was the executive vice president of a construction company providing industrial and commercial construction. Earlier in his career he worked for several large owners in the Transportation and Oil and Gas industries working on many large and complex international projects.
Alan has over 30 years of experience in the construction of offshore platforms, water works, tunnels, mines, petrochemical plants, pipelines, power plants, airports and similar projects. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and seminars.
He has an Electrical Engineering degree and a Masters in Business Administration. His assignments have taken him to almost every continent in the world, and he is currently working in South Africa, China, the United Arab Emirates and India as well as the United States.
