Kennedy names Deloitte a global leader and fastest growing in Information Management and Analytics

MelonNew York, 15 June 2011 — Deloitte is pleased to announce today that it was positioned as a global leader and fastest growing provider in Kennedy’s Information Management & Analytics Consulting Marketplace 2010-2013: Key Trends, Profiles and Forecasts, based on its business-led, technology-enabled approach.

According to the report, Deloitte’s 16 percent growth rate in 2009 reflects its ability to bring a business-led approach to the IM & Analytics space and its ability to leverage its long-standing relationships with customers to help them embark on their analytics initiatives.

“The scope of analytics has really transformed over the past couple of years, and Kennedy’s recognition seems to confirm that Deloitte is well-positioned to play a leadership role—by addressing clients’ needs either by focusing on critical business questions or understanding the data and information governance strategies needed to support their analytics initiatives,” says Tim Phillipps, Global Analytics Director, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited.

Key findings:

  • “Deloitte is ranked #3 with US $420 million in revenue. It has been aggressively pursuing the analytics market in 2010 by refining its offering and messaging.”
  • “Deloitte is heavily investing in analytics and plans to embed analytics offerings throughout all service areas on a global basis. In order to take analytics to market, the firm has formed a center of Excellence called Deloitte Analytics Institute (DAI). The DAI enables employees to share and leverage thought leadership, methods, tools, and solutions around the globe.”
  • “Deloitte provides its analytics consulting services across a wide variety of industries, with particular focus in data-intensive sectors such as banking, insurance, life sciences, consumer goods, manufacturing, public sector, transportation, and healthcare.”
  • “Deloitte’s strategy is an ambitious and aggressive undertaking, but is a testament to the firm’s belief in the potential and pervasiveness of analytics. This strategy will go far in showcasing Deloitte’s commitment and in positioning its approach to analytics at the forefront of the market.”

“Our goal has always been to provide executable advice and comprehensive business-driven analytics services to the world's leading companies, which are faced with an increasing amount of data,” says Jane Griffin, Analytics Leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP in the United States. “We are pleased that market experts like Kennedy are noting our success in the market, which we attribute to our relentless focus on delivering excellent client service.”
