Steven Bandolik is a Director, Real Estate Services with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP and is a Senior Advisor to the Deloitte U.S. firms’ Distressed Debt and Asset Practice. Bandolik counsels clients in the distressed real estate sector, delivering advisory services in real estate restructuring, workout and asset recovery, and capital markets. He provides due diligence/valuation services and asset management advice to help clients analyze strategies designed to maximize the value of their assets. Bandolik assists clients to help obtain the keys to success for real estate funds: fund and investment structuring; attracting capital; sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities; investor reporting and operational excellence; and exit strategies.
Bandolik brings more than 30 years of successful hands-on commercial real estate investment, finance, development, asset management, and property management experience, both as a leader and as a strategic advisor. He also has a proven track record of success in real estate-related private equity, investment banking, equity capital fundraising, debt placement, and divestment.
Bandolik began his career with Deloitte as an accountant and consultant. His professional affiliations include: The Real Estate Roundtable; Urban Land Institute (ULI); Pension Real Estate Association; University of Illinois Presidents Council; The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago; and a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for disaster recovery. Steven holds his BA in Accountancy from the University of Illinois-Champaign. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.
