John McCue is a Principal based in the Cleveland, Ohio, office of Deloitte LLP. He is the U.S. Energy & Resources Industry Leader, as well as the U.S. Power & Utilities Sector Leader, and is a Vice Chairman of Deloitte LLP.

McCue has deep experience in the energy and utility industries, spanning the electric, gas, water, and exploration and production industry segments. McCue specializes in power and utility industry strategic planning; alternative and renewable generation planning; business portfolio management; customer segmentation and customer relationship management; smart grid analytics; operations excellence; and shareholder value capture, including performance management, business case development, organizational restructuring and turnaround management. A key differentiator for McCue is his deep experience not just in corporate strategy and operational effectiveness, but in combining this experience with a strong appreciation for how strategic and tactical benefits are realized through the prudent application of information technology. McCue has also advised clients involved in many of the major utility mergers of the past 15 years.

McCue has over 24 years of diverse energy and utility industry consulting experience with Deloitte. Prior to Deloitte, he spent four years as a petroleum and reservoir engineer with Amoco Production Company. McCue holds both a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
