Greg Swinehart has a mission: helping companies and their counsel navigate the complex and costly issues related to controversies and crises such as litigation, regulatory matters, and fraud, waste, and abuse. He places particular emphasis on assembling global teams and on having his teams use technology - including advanced analytics and computer forensics - to create tangible client impact.

In his role as national service area leader of the Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP* (DTBA) Analytics practice, Greg has served some of the world’s largest companies and law firms in over 250 matters during his quarter century of practice, and the practice he leads has assisted clients in many of the highest profile business controversies.
Greg has led a number of consulting practices within Deloitte. His consulting experience includes bankruptcy and reorganization, business and strategic planning, economic consulting, financial process improvement, valuation, and providing expert testimony on dozens of occasions. Advanced analytics is a key component of many of the projects that Greg and his team deliver.
Greg serves on Deloitte LLP’s Board of Directors, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP’s Board of Directors, and Deloitte FAS India Ltd.’s Board of Directors. He also serves on the board of directors for Opera America and The Practising Law Institute.
Greg received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He completed his MBA in finance and accounting at the University of Chicago, and completed all requirements but his dissertation for a PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Minnesota. Greg is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Illinois, Minnesota and New York, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Certified Management Accountant.
