BioClint Stretch is a tax principal in the Washington, D.C. National Office of Deloitte Tax LLP. He serves as the firm’s managing principal, tax policy in working with our clients as they seek to understand and respond to emerging tax legislative and regulatory issues. He’s also an avid outdoorsman who loves nothing better than hiking through the woods. "My old-fashioned hiking boots do reflect my personality: I’m a pretty traditional guy who likes to work hard.”
Before joining Deloitte Tax in 1985, Clint served as legislation counsel to the Joint Committee on Taxation of the United States Congress from 1979 to 1985. In that capacity, he was responsible for the formulation of federal tax policy in such diverse areas as energy and natural resources, life and casualty insurance, partnerships, and tax administration and compliance. From 1975 to 1979, Clint served as an attorney-advisor to the Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service. Clint currently serves on the Tax Legislation and Policy Committee of the AICPA. Outside of work, he is an active member of the National Council of the National Parks Conservation Association, and has a goal to visit every one of the 58 parks in the national park system.. Clint is an honors graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from Davidson College in political science and economics.
