BioRobert Clarke is the leader of the Health Sciences and Government Industry practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP and a partner in the Forensic & Dispute Services practice. Bob has led many financial advisory services projects including litigation and dispute support, accounting and financial investigations, financial consulting and turnarounds for some of the leading companies in the health sciences industry. His experience includes supporting health providers and health plans with government investigations in areas such as false claims, clinical trials, and fraud and abuse. He also has led the analysis of financial and accounting data and has conducted interviews to identify financial and accounting irregularities or improper accounting conduct, and assisted in areas such as merger and acquisition analysis. Bob also has served as either engagement partner or chief restructuring adviser, on behalf of the company or the creditors, for distressed and underperforming health providers and plans. "I have been fortunate to have had a wide and diverse array of experience in the health industry. He has served as financial statement audit partner for academic medical centers, health systems, community hospitals, academic and multispecialty physician group practices, home-care agencies, long-term-care providers, health insurance operations, managed-care contracting organizations and higher education institutions. Bob is a certified public accountant, a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and board chairman of the American Cancer Society – Chicago Region. He is a frequent contributing author to health care and finance publications and a frequent lecturer and panel member.
