As a senior leader in Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations service area, Don deCamara has helped global businesses in numerous industries in their efforts to streamline operations and increase profitability. Don’s team works closely with clients to help them take an enterprise-wide view of their business model as an integral part of their efforts to improve their operating efficiency and effectiveness. Don has worked with various companies spanning the manufacturing, telecommunications, consumer products, life sciences and retail industries, specializing in the areas of enterprise cost management, performance improvement, turnarounds and restructurings and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Over his 18 years as a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, Don has led three service lines – M&A, Enterprise Cost Management and Reorganization Services. He has extensive experience in providing consulting services involving strategy development, enterprise-wide restructurings and business transformations. Don also has served as the managing director for Deloitte Consulting’s Ohio office.
Don has a bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance from Boston College and a master’s degree in business administration (finance) from Rutgers University.

My Career High:
We were retained to provide consulting services in support of an enterprise cost reduction project for a large technology firm. Our client’s goal was to generate $1 billion in cash within 10 months. I led a joint client/Deloitte Consulting team that focused on helping the client reduce costs and working capital, rationalize the business footprint and achieve balance sheet flexibility. The client generated $1.5 billion within 10 months, thereby substantially reinforcing their financial viability.
