Meet Stephen Dunn

Stephen Dunn is a Deloitte Consulting LLP Director based in Dallas, Texas. Stephen has spent the last twenty years in IT and Consulting with a focus for the past ten years on outsourcing advisory services.
Stephen currently leads Deloitte’s Outsourcing Advisory Services group in the Mid-America region. In this role Stephen leads consulting teams supporting projects ranging from outsourcing / offshoring strategy – and contract negotiation and execution – to contract renegotiation, ongoing governance and improvement. For example, he recently led the services provided in support of the retendering of US$500 million per year in spend for Applications Development and Applications Maintenance for a major global energy company.
Stephen has assisted clients in multiple industries on outsourcing issues, including Manufacturing, Energy, Government and Financial Services. He has led advisory teams in support of outsourcing projects totaling $16+ billion in outsourcing contracts, including those that involved the renegotiation of existing contracts.
Typical services support projects that include:
- IT outsourcing and offshoring strategy, execution and transition support activities
- Renegotiation of existing outsourcing contracts to take advantage of falling prices in the marketplace and/or to remediate poor performing deals
- Review of current practices against “best” practices to determine potential opportunities for cost reduction, improvement of service provision and/or margin improvement
Stephen earned a Master in Business Administration with distinction from New York University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science from Rice University.
