Meet Mary Delk

Director, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Mary Delk is a Strategy & Operations director in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Retail & Wholesale Distribution practice.

Mary has over 35 years of experience both serving clients and having held senior executive positions in the retail industry. She specializes in merchandising, marketing strategies and customer centricity. Mary frequently counsels clients on a broad range of sales and profitability initiatives. For the past two years, her primary focus has been in guiding clients to help improve customer engagement and retention and increase share-of-wallet.

Mary is also the leader of Deloitte’s Retail Insights and Analytics practice. In this role, she helps clients gain competitive advantage through innovative sources of differentiation by applying advanced analytics and unique customer insights.

Prior to joining Deloitte Consulting, Mary served as President of a major department store chain, where she led all functions of merchandising, marketing, product development and sourcing and customer research.

Mary holds an M.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S. from St. Olaf College.
