Jordan Water IT Master Plan Project2009-2011 || U.S. Agency for International Development |
Deloitte supported the Jordan Ministry of Water and Irrigation in implementing a national IT Master Plan to transform the use of water sector data for improved infrastructure and resource planning. Working with Jordan Water IT staff and its stakeholders, including recently corporatized water utilities, Deloitte created a consolidated center of excellence for information and communication technology (ICT) services that reorganized and re-directed disparate IT functions into a single unit. This implementation provides the tools to senior decision makers to act upon timely and factual data to positively influence the state of water in Jordan. This understanding is critical to addressing the challenges such as water loss across an aging delivery infrastructure, misaligned water pricing incentives, and strategic decision making.
