Workday Implementation — Global Consumer Chemical Product Manufacturing Company
Deloitte delivers Workday-enabled global HR Transformation for a global consumer chemical product manufacturing company
A global manufacturer operating in more than 60 countries with global brand recognition, thousands of employees and is operating with Workday as its platform, is undertaking an ambitious HR Transformation tied to its broad future vision state.
Deloitte was chosen over multiple leading firms to deliver the cloud-based Workday implementation, which will replace a legacy ERP system. In addition to implementing Workday, the Deloitte team is also helping the client examine and redefine its HR processes to achieve global consistency and uniform capabilities—something the company has never had before. Specific benefits that the client can gain from this implementation include developing a global platform system of record for employee information and data, having a single source for manager and employee self-service for HR-related transactions and providing global access to specific employee information and data to enable advanced data analytics and reporting.
Dan Sundt, Deloitte Consulting LLP says that the HR Transformation project is allowing the client to see the potential that having access to their global data can provide. This includes the ability to report on specific workforce data it hasn’t been able to before, such as global headcount. To address the client’s deep concern for data privacy and security, the team is also incorporating new security and control features from Workday. The team has completed the global design, which involved business process owners from around the world. Next comes waves of implementation for North America, Latin America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific countries over the next three years.
Lead engagement principal John Malikowski, Deloitte Consulting LLP notes that in addition to leveraging Deloitte’s Workday capabilities, the “soup to nuts” project fully demonstrates our capabilities in HR Transformation and HR service delivery.
“We’re using Workday to efficiently/effectively implement, prototype and deliver,” says Malikowski. “And we’re using our tools and experience to help the client through the changes (or “related changes”). In the end, they’ll have a global model to follow and global processes that they can scale and build on many years into the future.”
