MarketBuilder, Deloitte MarketPoint’s fundamental analysis and economic modeling software, was designed to model the interconnected global nature of today’s commodity markets. It emerged from a set of regional economic models implemented by MarketPoint, Incorporated and its sibling company, Altos Management Partners. These models were critical factors in the decision making made by the energy industry over a period of two decades. In 2010, Deloitte acquired the assets and retained key people from these two firms to form Deloitte MarketPoint.

The current MarketBuilder suite of models includes updated versions of these original models, which Deloitte MarketPoint continues to expand, improve, and adapt to the ever-changing commodity markets. Over the years these models have been used broadly throughout the energy market and demonstrated to be accurate and reliable.
Deloitte MarketPoint offers a large selection of off-the-shelf economic models that are designed to help clients get the most out of MarketBuilder. Our off-the-shelf models are a great starting point for any company seeking to incorporate fundamental supply chain analysis into its business decisions. These models provide off-the-shelf functionality for MarketBuilder users in the petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity and emissions markets. Customers can use MarketBuilder and these pre-built components to easily incorporate their proprietary knowledge and data into a fundamental analysis. For specific details, please refer to the individual models listed by energy commodity below.
