Vice President, Strategy and Government Affairs, Clean Power Finance
James Tong is Vice President of Strategy and Government Affairs at Clean Power Finance, where he leads collaborative efforts with solar businesses, utilities, government agencies, and academic researchers to accelerate solar deployment and reduce the barriers to adoption. He is an expert on cost drivers for solar installation and public policies influencing solar grid integration. He is currently working with NREL as a principal investigator on a $2.3M research project to understand the drivers of consumer adoption of solar. Mr. Tong previously served as Vice President of Marketing at Acro Energy (acquired by IES Renewable Energy) and consulted for multiple companies and organizations promoting the adoption of solar. Mr. Tong earned a BA in economics from Yale University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
