Phil Asmundson is Vice Chairman and U.S. Media & Telecommunications Sector Leader of Deloitte’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Industry Practice in the U.S. With over 29 years experience in accounting, auditing and consulting, Phil leads a cross functional practice that focuses on the needs of an industry group undergoing substantial change. Phil is responsible for industry strategy, eminence and research, service development and delivering industry to the clients we serve. Phil also has global responsibilities and is currently the Global Sector Leader for Telecommunications and serves on the TMT Global Executive Committee. He also serves as the Advisory Partner on strategic TMT clients.
Phil is one of Deloitte’s designated thought leaders and is an active speaker and author on industry trends, challenges and opportunities. He is regularly quoted on emerging industry issues and has recorded several podcasts on predictions for the TMT industry.
Phil received his bachelor of Accounting degree from University of Oregon. He has completed masters in business administration from Wharton School of Business.
