Dr. Mitch Morris is a Principal in Deloitte Consulting’s Life Sciences and Health Care practice and is the national leader for Health IT. Mitch has more than 25 years of health care experience that includes health care administration, research, technology, education, and clinical care.
is specific areas of specialization include:
- Developing and implementing information technology strategies to improve the clinical, quality and patient safety, financial, and research performance of health care providers and medical schools.
- Developing and implementing strategies for clinical quality and performance improvement.
- Implementing clinical software packages along with clinical and operational transformation/process improvements to fully leverage the automation.
- Designing and implementing business intelligence systems for financial, operational, and clinical applications.
- Developing disease management programs, treatment guidelines, and protocols.
Previously, Mitch served as Senior Vice President for Healthcare Systems and Chief Information Officer at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center where he was also a professor and a leading researcher and clinician.
Mitch is a frequent speaker on health IT and has been published extensively. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his doctorate from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
