Meet Peter J. Micca
Partner, National Health Plans Industry Leader, Audit & Enterprise Risk Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP
Peter Micca is a partner with 25 years of experience serving a broad array of clients in each of the health care sectors—health plans, life sciences and health care providers—applying deep knowledge of industry sector business issues. Currently, he leads the national industry practice for the health plans sector across Deloitte’s Audit & Enterprise Risk Services.
Pete serves a diverse cross-section of organizations and has significant experience in external audits to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants. He also has substantial experience in assurance and enterprise risk management, corporate and regulatory governance and compliance, internal control, internal audit, security and privacy and cyber security risk services and mergers and acquisition services. Pete works with strategic, operational and private equity buyers and initial public offerings; SEC registration statements and comment letters; and organizational carve-outs and spin-offs.
Pete is a frequent speaker and contributor on emerging industry issues, particularly around finance transformation, mergers and acquisitions, security and privacy and governance and risk and regulatory for organizations including America’s Health Insurance Plans, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Financial Executives International, New York Business Council, New Jersey Technology Council-Life Sciences and Health Care Technology and the New York City Investment Fund. He has also served on the board of advisors for the New York Investment Fund, working with emerging organizations to analyze strategic growth plans, review capital and venture funding requirements and assess operational and compliance issues.
Pete is on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee and is Current Chapter President of the Boy Scouts of America New York Chapter and serves on the Advisory Board of St. John’s University School of Business.
Pete joined Deloitte in 1989 and has a Master of Science in accounting and finance from St. John’s University.
