Jim Hardy is a Specialist Leader for Deloitte Consulting. He has over 20 years of Medicaid, heath care policy, reimbursement and rate development experience. He previously served as Pennsylvania’s Medicaid Director and has also consulted with states, managed care organizations and providers on rate development, health care reform and reimbursement issues.
Among Jim’s recent experience, he has assisted a state in developing an overall care management strategy for its Medicaid program; assisted states with state health reform and coverage initiatives; and led a hospital payment reform initiative to introduce quality incentives and significantly reduce/minimize payment for avoidable re-admissions, oversaw a Medicaid managed care program for over 1 million Medicaid consumers and implemented a rural Medical home program for 300,000 rural Medicaid consumers.
Jim earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
