With the launch of the first health insurance exchange open enrollment on October 1, 2013, the health care industry is eagerly monitoring the impact that individual enrollment in state- and federally-run exchanges will have on the health insurance market.

This map provides an update on the federal government’s periodic reports of the number of individuals who have selected a health insurance exchange health plan as of April 19, 2014. The map also includes a breakdown of state-based, state-partnership and federally-facilitated exchanges.
