Health Information Technology for Health Care Providers

With the passage of the HITECH Act, the impending move to ICD-10, new Meaningful Use definitions, and more, CIOs have been called upon to lead hospitals into a new era of health care IT. Investments in health information technology (HIT) can help providers integrate clinical and financial systems, implement EHRs, participate in Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) and enhance Web sites and portal strategies.
