Profile of survey respondents

Deloitte conducted a large-scale online consumer survey across the U.S. of primary shoppers. The survey was conducted in January 2014 and was completed by 4,024 respondents. The gender mix represented was 58 percent women, 42 percent men. The survey included 30 product categories and 376 brands.
