Alan Langhals is a principal in the Consumer & Industrial Products industry and Enterprise Applications practice areas of Deloitte Consulting LLP. A former CIO himself, Alan possesses 28 years of consulting and large-scale IT systems deployment experience. He has led numerous global business transformation, IT strategy, ERP and specialty deployment projects at leading consumer goods companies. Alan is the managing director for Deloitte Consulting in Cleveland and is Deloitte’s Consumer Products Industry Sector Technology leader in the US.

Initiative is a transformation focused on driving $350-400MM economic benefits and delivering new operating capabilities to the business, in the areas of Plan to Make, Logistics, Procure to Pay, Trade Promotions Management, Order to Cash, Record to Report,and Human Capital. SAP serves as the core technology platform with rollout across 22 countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
  • Engagement principal for business improvement initiative for a multi-billion dollar beverage company in Mexico. Initiative is a transformation focused on driving $400MM economic benefits and delivering new operating capabilities to the business, in the areas of Plan to Make, Warehouse Management, Procure to Pay, Distributor Sales, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Human Capital and Idea to Product. SAP serves as the core technology platform with rollout across 7 manufacturing facilities and over 200 sales/distribution agencies.
  • Engagement principal for all aspects of a business transformation for a $11B premium brand food and beverage company. The objective of this effort is to move the company from a holding-company model to an integrated food and beverage operating model. Enabled by SAP, the project defined new operating processes and systems in the areas of Order-to-Cash, Trade Promotions Management, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce and included integration with food service operators, retail customers, third-party logistics providers in North America and Europe. 
  • Engagement principal for all the process strategy and planning for a global business process transformation and global ERP rollout across 150 businesses in over 95 countries for a major agriculture and food company. Primary focus included business case development, business practice alignment, ERP roadmap development and the “ready-to-launch”, pre-planning activities.
