Chris Young, principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, has 25 years of wide-ranging organizational, financial and operational consulting experience. He currently focuses on federal and other public sector entities and specializes in consulting with these organizations to develop their strategies and business plans to increase productivity and gain efficiencies.
Chris is currently leading projects at the Navy on their working capital business operations to develop financial management processes and forecasting tools. Using commercial leading practices the team has assisted management in improving their cash oversight. He is also leading several projects at the Fleets, Reserves, NAVSEA (Naval Sea Systems Command) and NAVSUP (Naval Supply Systems Command) to improve financial and performance management.
Prior to joining the Federal team, Chris was part of Deloitte's Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice and focused on venture-backed technology firms. He performed financial due diligence and operational reviews of software development and technology manufacturing companies. He consulted with these high growth organizations during the various stages of their development. These services were rendered as part of acquisitions and divestitures of whole companies or divisions.
Chris is the lead partner in the Strategy & Operations service area of Deloitte's Federal Practice. He overseas over 200 practitioners in the Washington office that provide financial, supply chain, business IT and performance improvement consulting services to federal agencies.
