Deloitte, through its member firms, was one of the first organizations called upon to serve the U.S. government and our commercial clients worldwide in the aftermath of September 11, 2001. Deloitte provided commercial best practices and access to worldwide expertise to establish the information sharing and communications systems for the Transportation Security Administration.
These efforts continued in 2002 to support the Executive Office of the President (EOP) and the Office of Homeland Security in critical activities needed to create the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including the creation of www.dhs.gov in 30 days.
