Meet General Peter M. Cuviello

Partner, Deloitte Consulting LLP

General Cuviello is the lead client partner for Deloitte Consulting LLP in Huntsville, AL assigned to the Defense Practice, U.S. Federal Services.

General Cuviello is a dynamic, visionary leader and goal-oriented senior executive with demonstrated success in planning, developing, and implementing cutting edge information solutions to address mission-critical information and IT management challenges. Experienced in joint application integration, project and resource management, cross-functional training and team building, General Cuviello retired in 2003 as a Lieutenant General in the U.S. Army. General Cuviello has thirty-eight years of operational Cyber, C4 and IT experience including CIO and G6 leadership of the U.S. Army’s 1.2 million-person organization and a $5.6 billion annual IT budget.

In September 2003, General Cuviello joined Lockheed Martin’s combat support systems (CS-S) IT business area with the executive responsibility for developing CS-S area strategies and assisting in program development and oversight of new CS-S business opportunities. General Cuviello served as the Program Executive for the Defence Information Infrastructure pursuit for the U.K. Ministry of Defence (MOD) from October 2003 to March 2004. Subsequently, General Cuviello became the VP & Managing Director of Lockheed Martin’s Focused Logistics Enterprise through April 2006 and served as VP of Business Strategies with the Savi Group which provided multi-modal, global supply chain and asset management information networks for government and commercial customers.

In 2007, General Cuviello joined BearingPoint to design, develop and execute the establishment of the Network Enabled Operational Support group and as Managing Director was responsible for the opportunity lifecycle in the areas of Command and Control, Intelligence, Situational Awareness, Information Sharing and Assurance, and Cyber Operations. In May of 2009 the business was acquired by Deloitte and Touché LLP. General Cuviello continues to carry out the same missions and functions in Deloitte Consulting LLP.
