Bill Kobel is the U.S. Security & Privacy leader for Information and Technology Risk Management solutions. He specializes in delivering Cybersecurity, information protection, security and privacy risk management solutions. Bill focuses on delivering these services and capabilities to the Department of Defense (DoD). Bill joined Deloitte & Touche in 1998 and has been an information, systems, and assurance management professional since 1981.
Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Bill held various roles including Technical Director, Systems Engineer and Project Manager. He has also spent 13 years serving as an officer in the United States Air Force. Bill’s Air Force career involved a wide range of systems development and operational assignments. They included Air Mobility Command/437th Airlift Wing, AFSC/ESC Ground Mobile Forces, AFSC/ESC NATO Air Base SATCOM (Satellite Communications), and multiple assignments within the SECDEF Classified National Programs.
Bill has over 28 years experience with systems engineering, information systems and risk management disciplines, including enterprise security strategy and architecture development, identity and data access management, infrastructure protection solution implementation, enterprise risk management, governance, risk and compliance management, and large systems project implementation.
