Meet Dan Helfrich

Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Dan Helfrich is a principal and practice leader for all Deloitte Consulting LLP Strategy, Operations, and Human Capital services provided to the federal government. With more than 15 years of transformational consulting experience, he has been instrumental in helping governments implement complex mission programs in areas such as homeland security, customer service, workforce planning, and performance measurement. He is also a specialist in the integration of people, process, and technology dimensions of change management.

Since the late 1990s, Dan has led large customer-centric transformations for local, state, and federal government agencies, including the initial formation of the Transportation Security Administration. Dan writes and speaks regularly on topics of government innovation, large transformation program successes, and the future of the government workforce and workplace.

Dan is responsible for leading Deloitte's efforts to bring thought leadership to the future of the government workplace and workforce, including the critical topic of capability building. He was an active contributor to Bill Eggers' book If We Can Put a Man on the Moon...Getting Big Things Done in Government  and continues to be a leader of change.

Dan holds a BS in international economics from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service and an MBA from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business.
