Stephen Carpenter has more than 12 years of experience in anti-corruption reforms, public sector institutional strengthening, customs modernization, and analytical democracy and governance country assessments. He has worked in the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Stephen has managed portfolios of international donor projects and business development opportunities in the areas of democracy promotion, anti-corruption, local governance, legislative strengthening, and conflict mitigation.
Stephen holds a Master of Science degree in International Commerce and Finance from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, a master’s degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College.
