Deloitte and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) have collaborated to begin to offer insight about the current status of health informatics in the U.S. health care industry via the Health Informatics Industry Maturity Survey. The primary objectives in conducting this initial survey were to understand how health informatics was valued in the industry and how confident organizations were in their ability to realize that value.
The survey report has identified underlying themes on the following:
- Health informatics visioning and strategy
- Health informatics operations and capabilities
- Needed and planned health informatics capabilities
- The use of electronic health record systems and data for research and other secondary purposes
- Penetration of common practices in standards, policies, and information management
Download the report to explore the data further and find the full aggregated data set.
